McCarthy Construction

Challenge:

The previous website for McCarthy Construction was a static HTML site that was managed with Adobe Dreamweaver. The new site needed a powerful content management system that would allow basic user roles so that the site could be managed by people across the country. The markup on the site also needed to follow the guidelines put forth by a third party SEO company.

Solution:

This was a team project in the truest sense of the word. All of the front end markup and javaScript was developed by Kathy Sprehe and the Home Page Flash interactive piece was developed by Jacob Heberlie. I developed the CMS and tied it into the front end markup. The CMS was developed to be as usable as possible. We used the jQuery library to make things easier to manage. From drag and drop reordering, to being able to click on an actual map to place an office location.
