The Light Project

Challenge:

The Pulitzer Foundation for the Arts had an outdoor exhibition called The Light Project that ran in conjunction with their exhibition Dan Flavin: Constructed Light. TOKY was tasked to create a website that would highlight the artworks, and to show the importance in how light and the time of day affect the artworks. There was also to be a space on the site for the artists to blog about their pieces as they are being constructed.

Solution:

TOKY created a site that had three different looks, Daytime, Dusk and Night.  I developed the interactive Flash map on the Home Page. The map had an introduction animation and contained information about each work. The map also displayed the time in St. Louis, while allowing users to change the look of the site by setting the mode to Daytime, Dusk or Night.
