Challenge:

At TOKY, as I’m sure it is at most shops, it can be difficult to find time to work on internal projects. We were tired of going through two versions of a ‘coming soon’ micro site. The site was designed in 2008 to offer an interactive way for potential clients to explore what makes TOKY, well, TOKY. The main priorities were to use the TOKY ‘O’ as a way to navigate through recent projects and case studies, and we also wanted to ensure that we highlighted the TOKY team.

Solution:

Due to the desired interactions, I decided to build the site with Flash. I used David Knape’s Bumpslide framework. We didn’t have time to hook the site up to a CMS, however, it is based on XML, so that we can add/remove projects at well. We can also manage individual bios, contact page dots and awards via XML. The site also pulls in a Wordpress news feed.
